Dark Harbor

I love how spooky this is, it perfectly captured how it felt at that moment.

A deep fog was rolling off of Lake Superior into Two Harbors. I walked out unto the breakwater at dusk. It was serene, the water was perfectly calm, with the fog you could not tell where the horizon in the distance was. Walking out onto the breakwater was like walking out into the clouds. I took some photos of the boats in the harbor and of the lighthouse.

I've never been to the ocean, but Lake Superior is my sea. 

(We took a little vacation up to Two Harbors last weekend and stayed in the Lighthouse BnB, which was cool because how often do you get to sleep in a lighthouse?)

This photo was taken actually a few minutes before this one:  The fog actually dissipated a bit by the time I walked the length of the breakwater. That and it is a slightly different shutter speed.
